In 2013 we were proud to present the world’s first ever cycling poetry slam! For one night only, breathless performance poets and oily-fingered newcomers will compete together in a pedal to the finish. Expect poems on wheels, greased verse, SPOKEn word, terrible puns, and no Lycra whatsoever (probably).
Entry was Free. Lots of people came to watch, to vote, to compete, and to enjoyed themselves, the bike slam was open to all and was won by J. A. Sutherland. Photos from the Bike Slam can be seen here. Bike Slam was run in association with Inky Fingers at the Forest Café.
